Windows: the programmer needs its driver installed.

The download bar appears at the bottom of the browser (or a prompt) — click the file.
Windows asks for administrator permission — click Yes.
A small installer window finishes — then unplug and replug the programmer.

This ESC is running factory firmware — the tool is read-only for it.
Bytes 0x05–0x10 on this layout are the ESC's own name string, not settings, and the Rockwolf fields (Crawl Torque, brushed mode) do not exist in this firmware. Nothing is wrong with your ESC.

While this ESC is on factory firmware: its low-voltage cutoff reads the battery on the wrong input for this board. On this ESC it is switched off — and switching it on will not make it read the pack correctly either. The Rockwolf firmware fixes that along with everything else.

You can still tune this ESC normally with the config tool it already works with (Config Tool 1.82 for brushed, 1.93 for brushless) — the only thing this web tool cannot do on this firmware is write.

Plug the USB linker into the ESC signal lead, power the ESC with a battery, then hit Connect. Works in Chrome and Edge on Windows, Mac and Linux — and in Chrome on Android phones (USB-C linker straight into the phone; page must be opened from a website, not a local file).

Motor

Motor Type

Pick the motor you actually have.

Brushless has three wires, brushed has two. Getting this wrong means the motor won't run. Change it, write settings, then unplug the battery and plug it back in.

Motor KV

Type the KV printed on your motor.

It feeds the ESC's motor speed calculation. A wrong number won't damage anything, but it throws that calculation off, and settings that depend on motor speed won't behave as expected.

Motor Poles

Type your motor's pole count.

Most of our can motors are 12. Our pancake motors (SMP, MVP, ROP, Powderkeg) are 14. A wrong number throws off the motor speed calculation.

Forward/Reverse (3D)

Leave ON for a crawler.

Centre stick stops, push forward to go, pull back to reverse. Off is for racing setups that only go one way.

Reverse rotation

Flip if the truck drives backwards.

Some motors mount the other way round. Easier than swapping wires.

Crawl Drive

Sine Coverage

Where smooth ends and fast begins.

Below this point the motor is silky for technical lines. Above it, it's normal quick drive. 30% suits most crawling. Higher = smooth further up the trigger, but a lower top-speed feel.

Sine Mode Power

Muscle available in smooth mode.

Leave at 10 unless you're chasing something specific. If you've set a Crawl Torque number, leave this alone and let that do the work.

Crawl Torque Target

How hard it pulls, and keeps pulling.

Set in real amps. It holds through binds, ledges and a sagging battery instead of bogging. 0 turns it off.

Trap Cap Multiplier

Extra pull allowed at full trigger.

A multiple of your Crawl Torque number. Low keeps the sprint tame; high gives big top-end punch.

Startup Power

The kick that gets it moving.

Too low and it hesitates off the line. Too high and it lurches.

Min Duty Cycle

Raise if there's a dead spot off idle.

The smallest amount of power that ever reaches a turning motor. Small changes go a long way.

Throttle Ramp Rate

Lower = gentler trigger.

How fast power is allowed to climb when you squeeze. Lower numbers make a twitchy truck much easier to place.

Sinusoidal startup

Leave ON. This is the smooth crawl.

This is the heart of the Rockwolf feel. Turning it off gives you an ordinary ESC.

Stall Recovery

Stall Boost

Extra shove when it starts to bog.

0 is off. Turn it up if you're stopping on climbs.

Stall Response

How fast that shove arrives.

Low is patient and smooth. High grabs fast, but can lurch when the tyre suddenly grips.

Stall protection

Master switch for the two below.

Off means no extra help when the truck bogs down.

Braking

Drag Brake Strength

How hard it holds when you let go.

10 is locked solid. Lower lets it creep, which some drivers prefer on off-camber.

Running Brake

Engine braking as you ease off.

Higher slows you sooner when you ease off. Lower coasts more freely.

Brake on stop

Leave ON so it holds on hills.

With it off, you'll roll backwards every time you let go.

Battery

Low Voltage Cutoff

Stops you running the pack flat.

Cuts motor power when the pack gets low; steering keeps working so you can drive it back. 3.30 V per cell is the usual safe number. It trips about 10 seconds below the threshold; power cycle to reset.

Cell Cutoff

Per-cell trip voltage.

Cell count is detected automatically. 3.0V is the classic LiPo floor; 3.3V leaves a safety margin.

Pack Cutoff

Whole-pack trip voltage.

For 5S–6S use this mode (not per-cell) — e.g. 18.0V for a 6S floor. 19V is the sensor's ceiling.

Advanced

High-Speed Timing

Firing point once it leaves smooth mode.

Does nothing during smooth crawl — only the fast half. Positive buys top speed at the cost of heat and low-speed manners. Called Timing Advance on other ESCs. 0 is default.

Handoff Speed

When it switches from smooth to fast.

If the motor speed jumps as it comes out of smooth mode, go negative. If it bogs or stalls at the switch, go positive. 0 is default.

Protocol is locked to Servo (crawler receivers). Values write to the ESC and take effect after the automatic reboot.
